With that PHAT retro look. The new Ford Thunderbird concept vehicle is a
modern interpretation of a classic American icon -- a phenomenon that Ford
calls "modern-heritage." Ford’s design goal with this new
Thunderbird was to leverage the wealth of styling cues from the classic 1954
and 1955 models and recreate the enthusiasm of the originals. The result was
this distinctly modern, two-seat roadster interpretation.
Production is planned for the 2002 model year.

increasingly up-scale SUV has proven to be a cultural phenomenon and has
become an American standard. But just when you think it's time to go
back to a sporty little number to set yourself apart, they introduce
vehicles like these. They just keep getting better and better.
This crop of SUV's are evolving into the sports cars of the Millennia.

The
awesome Chevrolet SSR pickup looks like it was forged from a single block of
steel. From nose to tail, the sleek, fluid lines whisper a futuristic
"Super Sport Roadster." With a way cool retractable hardtop, this
"sunliner" will power you down the highway with a 6.0-liter V-8
engine coupled to an automatic, rear-wheel-drive powertrain.
